Our method
No disguised opinion. Texts, logic, and every side at its best.
The original text, checked word for word
Every claim about a philosopher links to the exact passage of their work, in the original language, with a translation and the standard reference. A program matches every quote, word for word, against the stored text: if it is not there, the page refuses to publish. A badge also shows whether the text was really written by them, published after their death, or passed down by others.
Logic, checked by computer
Each argument is rewritten as numbered premises, then checked by a logic solver. If a step is missing, we add the hidden premise and show it clearly. Valid does not mean true: the debate is then about the premises, and that is where we show the objections.
Every side at its best
No straw men: each position is presented as its best defenders put it. Every argument has its objections, and every objection shows the philosopher's reply when one exists. When there was no reply, we say so, and never invent one.
No verdict on the big questions
We do not say who is right about God, the meaning of life or morality. We show the structure of the debate, what is solid and what is contested, so everyone can make up their own mind.
